# UK prime minister Keir Starmer’s Labour Party has suffered major losses in local elections, with Nigel Farage’s Reform UK making significant gains. About five-thousand seats were up for election on 134 councils across England, Scotland and Wales. Early results show Labour has lost control of eight councils and Reform has gained over 300 seats.
