# The National Freedom Party has found its suspended KwaZulu-Natal chairperson Mbali Shinga guilty of violating party instructions. The decision follows her refusal to support a motion of no confidence against premier Thami Ntuli in December 2025. In the party’s letter to its National Working Committee the ruling affirms the seriousness of her defiance and substantive sanctions will be determined. A final judgment on Shinga’s future in the party is expected on Wednesday. Shinga, who is the MEC for Social Development, intends to remain in her position.
