Good day, let’s look at the latest sports news and scores:
# First up, rugby: The final group round of the United Rugby Championship has arrived, with much to play for this weekend. The top-two teams, Glasgow Warriors and the Stormers, have already clinched home quarterfinals, while seven teams will fight it out for the remaining six places. The Stormers play Cardiff in Wales tomorrow, the fourth-placed Bulls face Benetton in Pretoria, and the fifth-placed Lions face Munster in Limerick. The Sharks, who are already out of contention in tenth position, will host Zebre in Durban.
Meanwhile, the Bulls’ Springbok stalwart, Willie le Roux, will play his 400th first-class match tomorrow. The 36-year-old versatile back player started his career at Boland before stints at teams such as Griquas, the Cheetahs, the Sharks and eventually to Loftus Versfeld. He played 101 Tests for South Africa since 2013, scoring 75 points while also contributing to many tries. Le Roux says he has no intention of retiring at this stage.

Scheffler says it was a tough opening round:

Overton, who is CSK’s second-highest wicket-taker this season with 14, has been ruled out due to a right thigh injury. Twenty-four-year-old Forrester made his international debut for South Africa against New Zealand in March. He joins the CSK squad for a fee of approximately 1.3-million-rand.
# And soccer: Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis has announced a squad of 23 players to take on Japan in back-to-back away international friendly matches next month. Overseas-based duo Thembi Kgatlana and Bongeka Gamede return to the squad after missing the recent camp in Algeria due to injury.
