Only 27-percent are interested in elections and politics. The EFF and ANC are tied as the most supported parties among young voters at 17-percent each, followed by the MK Party at 15-percent and the DA at 13-percent. Ipsos’ Mari Harris says many young people remain unconvinced that using their democratic rights to vote can address the issues that matter most to them.

NEHAWU’s spokesperson Lwazi Nkolonzi says the country’s economic approach, which focuses on fiscal consolidation, austerity, inflation targeting and structural reforms, is placing pressure on public resources:

The British government has never issued a formal state apology for its role in the transatlantic slave trade or offered financial reparations. He spoke at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Antigua and Barbuda yesterday. King Charles said he was committed to finding ways to work in modern partnership to address the wrongs of the past, including through improving access to education and investing in jobs:

Manchester United came from two goals down to beat Roma 3-2, Bayern Munich defeated Atletico Madrid 2-0 to maintain their unbeaten start, while Barcelona defeated Aston Villa 3-0.
