# Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused his Australian counterpart, Anthony Albanese, of having betrayed Israel for recognising a Palestinian state. This comes after far-right Israeli politician Simcha Rothman’s Australian visa was cancelled ahead of a visit to the country on Monday, where he had been due to speak at events organised by the Australian Jewish Association. Netanyahu says Albanese is a weak politician who has abandoned Australia’s Jews. Australian Immigration minister Tony Burke says they reject Netanyahu’s incendiary criticism.
