NEASA says race and gender quotas don’t belong in any appointment process

# The National Employers’ Association of South Africa will not comply with the government’s racial quotas, saying it won’t tolerate discrimination on the grounds of race and gender. The High Court in Pretoria recently dismissed NEASA and Sakeliga’s application for an interdict against the new employment equity quotas. The Employment Equity targets enforce race-based targets across skilled, professional, and management levels over the next five years. NEASA says no business can flourish, or even function, on a race or gender scorecard.
