# The National Teachers’ Union is holding its National Elective Conference in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, looking into reimagining education funding to support teachers and transform education beyond the classroom. Delegates will engage scholars, officials, and non-governmental organisations on underfunding of education, teacher mental health, unemployed educators and the impact of school violence on teachers and students. Ethical conduct standards on teachers will also be discussed following a recent surge in sexual harassment cases against teachers. The union will also adopt advocacy resolutions for 2025 to 2028.
