# Motorsport: Alpine’s team principal, Oliver Oakes, has resigned with immediate effect. The Briton, who joined Alpine in July 2024, was the second youngest team principal in Formula One history. His duties will be taken over by executive advisor Flavio Briatore. Oakes’ resignation comes amid uncertainty about Jack Doohan’s future at the team ahead of next weekend’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola, Italy. Last year, Alpine finished sixth in the Constructors’ Championship.
