# KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says the murder of Q-Tech Engineering’s engineer, Armand Swart, exposed corruption and organised crime within the police. Swart was killed last year after whistleblowing on Transnet tender fraud. Mkwhanazi testified at the Madlanga commission of inquiry in Pretoria that investigators faced threats, bribery attempts, and evidence tampering. He says this led to the deployment of ten political killings task team officials in a covert operation in Gauteng:
