Minister Macpherson hands over properties for GBV shelters in Gauteng [SOUND]

# Public Works and Infrastructure minister Dean Macpherson has handed over five state-owned properties in Gauteng to Social Development MEC Faith Mazibuko, to shelter victims of gender-based violence. Macpherson highlighted the importance of repurposing unused state buildings for public benefit. The collaboration seeks to establish shelters across all 52 districts. The minister said this marks a significant shift in policy to combat gender-based violence:
