Deputy President Paul Mashatile has wished former President Jacob Zuma a speedy recovery amid conflicting reports about his health. Zuma was reportedly hospitalised after becoming unwell during a campaign event in KwaZulu-Natal. MK Party maintains that he attended routine medical checks, while his brother, Khanya, says he remains ill in hospital. Mashatile was speaking during a door-to-door election campaign in Greater Midrand and Ivory Park after resuming work from sick leave:
