# Deputy president Paul Mashatile has appointed former Free State Finance MEC Gadija Brown as his Special Economic Advisor. According to the Presidency, Brown, a seasoned professional with extensive experience in commercial banking and government, has held key roles in finance, agriculture, infrastructure, and economic development. She holds a degree in management and leadership, majoring in finance and economics. Mashatile says Brown’s expertise will enhance the advisory team’s work and strengthen efforts to fulfill president Cyril Ramaphosa’s economic mandates.
