Lottery workers march over better wages and improved working conditions

# Workers at the National Lotteries Commission have marched to the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition in Pretoria. They are demanding better wages and improved working conditions. The employees are calling for an 8.5-percent wage increase, while the NLC has offered 6.5-percent. NLC Commissioner Jodi Scholtz stated that a seven-percent increase was implemented for 2024/25, comprising a 4.4-percent pensionable increase and a 2.6-percent non-pensionable allowance.
