# Gauteng premier Panyaza Lesufi has acknowledged the apology made by suspended Tshwane Metro Police brigadier Abraham Nkhwashu for falsely claiming he was instructed to submit murder dockets, including the Armand Swart case in Vereeniging. Nkhwashu had testified that he was ordered to collect specific case dockets, and submit them to a provincial commissioner Tommy Mthombeni, implying involvement by Lesufi. Following Lesufi’s denial, Nkhwashu retracted his statement and formally apologised for inappropriately invoking the premier’s name during his testimony.
