# The family of late former Zambian president Edgar Lungu has filed for leave to appeal a Pretoria High Court ruling ordering his remains be repatriated to Lusaka for burial. Judge President Aubrey Ledwaba delivered the order yesterday, siding with the Zambian government’s claim of a prior agreement for a state funeral. The family disputes this, saying the court overlooked key events. If granted, the appeal will be heard in the Supreme Court of Appeal. Lungu died in Johannesburg two months ago.
