# International Relations and Cooperation minister Ronald Lamola says Africa must end its role as a mere supplier of raw materials. Speaking during the third G20 Sherpa Meeting, Lamola called for a critical minerals framework to drive beneficiation, industrial growth, and job creation. Lamola urged cooperation between the Global North and South for equitable development. He stressed that transforming minerals into local value means economic empowerment, sustainability, and a more just global economic system:
