# The Kopanong Africa Against Xenophobia warns that threats and fear will not solve the immigration crisis, which it says is driven by deeper political and economic conditions across the region. This comes amidst a surge in anti-migrant protests and xenophobic violence, which has resulted in countries including Malawi, Nigeria and Ghana repatriating their citizens from South Africa.
