# Iran has reportedly rejected a second round of peace talks with the US in Islamabad, Pakistan, today, citing Washington’s excessive demands, unrealistic expectations, constant shifts in stance, and the ongoing naval blockade, which it considers a breach of the ceasefire. This comes after the White House confirmed that US vice-president JD Vance would lead another delegation for a second round of talks. Iran says America’s threatening rhetoric has so far hindered the progress of the negotiations. A two-week ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran is due to expire on Wednesday.
