# A board of inquiry into suspended Mpumalanga police commissioner Semakaleng Manamela will resume on 4 May, to assess her fitness for office. The State attorney’s office says Manamela’s disciplinary process will go ahead as she violates SAPS communication protocols during her media briefing last week. Manamela claimed her suspension followed efforts to fight corruption and political interference. She has accused suspended national police commissioner Fannie Masemola and former police minister Bheki Cele of wrongdoing. The state attorney’s say there is no evidence of the allegations.
