Independent transmission projects procurement tender delayed

# South Africa has delayed the first phase of its independent transmission projects procurement. The final request for proposals is now expected in the second quarter of 2027, instead of the third quarter of this year. The Department of Electricity and Energy and National Treasury say more consultations are needed with seven pre-qualified bidders. A second draft will be issued before year-end, alongside a term sheet for the new Credit Guarantee Vehicle, which was incorporated in August. The projects cover one-thousand-164 kilometres of power lines.
