# The Electoral Commission has asked the Electoral Court to dismiss the ANC’s appeal over candidate lists for six municipalities. The affected municipalities are in the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State. The IEC says the ANC failed to formally submit its lists before the deadline and rejects claims that technical problems with its online system caused the delay. The ANC’s Mahlengi Bhengu says glitches prevented the party’s officials from completing the submission process:
