# The International Criminal Court has rejected Israel’s request to withdraw arrest warrants against prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence minister Yoav Gallant. In November last year, the court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant, and a Hamas leader, Ibrahim al-Masri, for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. The warrant for Al-Masri was withdrawn in February following credible reports of his death. The ICC has also rejected an Israeli request to suspend its wider investigation into alleged atrocity crimes in the Palestinian Territories.
