# The International Air Transport Association has confirmed that it will host its third World Sustainability Symposium in Hong Kong this October, focusing on achieving net-zero carbon emissions in aviation by 2050. The event will unite global leaders from finance, energy, policy, and aviation to tackle challenges including sustainable fuel production, funding the 82-trillion-rand transition, and advancing clean technology adoption. IATA director general, Willie Walsh, says airlines are committed, but stronger action is needed from policymakers, manufacturers, and fuel producers.
