Hlabisa calls for united government action on water crisis [SOUND]

# Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs minister Velenkosini Hlabisa says the three spheres of government must work together to resolve South Africa’s water challenges. Speaking at the Extended Presidential Coordinating Council, Hlabisa stressed municipalities are central to service delivery and economic growth. Hlabisa emphasised that water access is a constitutional right and called for urgent, coordinated action to improve governance, infrastructure and accountability. He emphasised that functional municipalities are key to ensuring national development and stability:
