# The Department of Higher Education and Training and Takealot Group will sign a landmark Memorandum of Understanding in Kempton Park today, to bridge South Africa’s skills gap. Facilitated by deputy minister Mimmy Gondwe, the MoU includes Takealot adopting three TVET and community colleges near its distribution centres, offering students hands-on experience and aligning curricula with industry needs. The partnership will also expand bursaries, deliver textbooks nationwide, and support township entrepreneurs and Small and Medium Enterprises entering the digital economy.
