Health Ombud calls for urgent reforms in KZN hospitals [SOUND]

# Health Ombud Professor Taole Mokoena has called for urgent reforms to improve staff well-being and patient care in KwaZulu-Natal public hospitals. Providing recommendations following a report of health professionals in the province, Mokoena called for stronger employee wellness and mental health programmes, better staffing, tighter security, improved oversight and compliance with healthcare standards. He says special attention must be given to intern doctors and junior healthcare workers facing high-pressure conditions:
