# The Department of Health has confirmed four additional mpox cases, bringing the national total to 22. One is a 47-year-old Cape Town man who travelled to Spain earlier this month and was previously classified as a probable case. The other three include two imported infections involving German and Norwegian citizens. The department’s spokesperson, Foster Mohale, says that of the 22 confirmed cases, 18 are in the Western Cape, three in Gauteng and one in KwaZulu-Natal:
