# Major South African construction giant, Group Five, has officially exited business rescue after a successful six-year restructuring process. Business rescue practitioners Dave Lake and Peter van den Steen confirmed the formal termination of proceedings following the full implementation of their recovery plan. The recovery exceeded financial expectations, and the company is evaluating the prospect of returning surplus value to shareholders once final corporate matters are wrapped up. Of the nearly six-thousand workers employed when the company collapsed, fewer than 15-percent were retrenched.
