# The Garden Route Municipality has launched a first-of-its-kind platform to combat primarily invasive alien plants. The platform has set a bold interim vision, to reduce invasive alien plants coverage across the Garden Route by 30-percent by 2030. This will support biodiversity conservation, water security, and wildfire risk reduction.
