# Golf: Former Masters champion, Sergio Garcia, has failed to qualify for next month’s US Open, for the first time since 1999. The Spaniard bogeyed his final hole in 36-hole qualifying at Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas, to finish on six under and missed out. Ryder Cup captain Edoardo Molinari of Italy was among eight players to progress through Monday’s qualifier at Walton Heath in England, and three more earned their spots in the Japan event. The final ten qualifiers will be held on June 2nd.
