Golf: PGA chief to apologise to McIlroy and Team Europe over abuse at the Ryder Cup [SOUND]

# Golf: PGA of America chief executive, Derek Sprague, says he plans to apologise to Rory McIlroy and the rest of Team Europe for the abuse they suffered at the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. McIlroy was subjected to verbal abuse, and his wife, Erica, was hit by a bottle thrown by an American fan. Europe defeated the US 15-13 to win the Ryder Cup. Sprague told the Golf Channel that it is unfortunate that some fans crossed the line:
