# The General Industries Workers Union of South Africa is demanding a living wage from Masterpack as workers continues with protected strike which commenced on Monday. Masterpack is a subsidiary of the Bidvest Group. GIWUSA organiser’s Sipho Linda says this must include a nine-percent wage increase across the board to ensure all workers benefit equitably.
He says the management must honour outstanding and future bonuses recognising workers’ contribution to the company’s massive profitability:
