Gauteng Legislature calls for crackdown on water-splashing [SOUND]

# The Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s Community Safety Committee is calling for indiscriminate water-splashing during Spring Day celebrations to be outlawed through municipal by-laws and stronger enforcement. The Committee chairperson Bandile Masuku says the practice has led to harassment, property damage, disorder and, reportedly, a fatal confrontation in Refilwe, Tshwane. He calls on parents, communities and youth organisations to promote responsible celebrations, while authorities are expected to ensure consequences where conduct crosses into criminality:
