Families outraged after murder charges dropped against farm supervisor in pig farm killings

# The families of two women shot and dumped in a pig farm enclosure in Polokwane have condemned the acquittal of Rodulph De Wet. The 20-year-old farm supervisor turned state witness in the 2024 killings of Maria Makgato and Lucia Ndlovu. The women were allegedly shot while looking for food on the farm. Their bodies were allegedly given to the pigs in an apparent attempt to dispose of the evidence. De Wet claims he acted under duress, identifying farm owner Zachariah Olivier as the shooter. The trial against Olivier and co-accused, William Musora, resumes 17 October.
