# A former police general has been arrested for unlawful possession of over 100 rounds of police-issued ammunition, including R-five and nine-millimeter rounds. Police’s National Cold Case Unit conducted a search and seizure at his Centurion, Pretoria, home, also seizing documents and electronic devices linked to the murder investigation of Lieutenant General Sindile Mfazi. Spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says the man left the Police Service in 2009, with no valid reason to possess the ammunition:
