# The European Union is warning that it may take action to increase pressure on Israel, unless the situation for Palestinians in Gaza improves. A review of the EU-Israel association agreement, a trade and cooperation pact, was triggered last month by 17 EU member states in protest at Israel’s blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza. EU’s Foreign Affairs chief, Kaja Kallas, says it is clear that Israel had breached its human rights commitments in Gaza and the West Bank. She adds that the suffering of Palestinians must stop.
