# About 40 activists, including from The Green Connection, Extinction Rebellion, and Project90by2030, as well as small-scale fishers, will stage a protest in Cape Town on Thursday, under the banner “Tug of War for Africa.” This as the G20 Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group Ministerial Meeting will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre tomorrow. The activists are demanding that global leaders end fossil fuel subsidies, stop new oil and gas projects, and accelerate the transition to renewable energy.
