Elon Musk made the announcement just one day after president Donald Trump signed a tax-cut and spending bill into law on Friday, which Musk had fiercely opposed. The Tesla boss backed Trump’s election campaign with more than a quarter-of-a-billion-dollars. He criticised key parts of Trump’s legislative agenda after leaving his high-profile role at the Department of Government Efficiency. Musk later slammed the bill as a disgusting abomination, with Trump saying he would even consider deporting the billionaire.
