# The EFF says it rejects a policing culture in which the disappearance of women is treated as a non-urgent ordinary matter until families and communities generate sufficient pressure to compel intervention. This follows the discovery of the bodies of five women in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, over the past two months. The EFF says more than one woman’s body had reportedly been discovered in the area before there was meaningful intervention by the police. It says this raises serious questions about the capacity and willingness of SAPS to identify patterns of violence.
