# The EFF has vehemently rejected the rescinding of advocate Thandazani Madonsela’s appointment as evidence leader of the Impeachment Committee without material evidence. Madonsela’s recommendation was rescinded amid a legal review of president Cyril Ramaphosa’s objection related to the Phala Phala scandal. The 31 members of the Impeachment Committee from 16 political parties have until Friday to make more nominations for an evidence leader.
