# Education activist Hendrick Makaneta has welcomed South Africa and Finland’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in education and skills development. This week, Finnish minister of Education Anders Adlercreutz conducted an official visit to South Africa, where he met with Basic Education minister Siviwe Gwarube to discuss shared priorities and opportunities for deeper collaboration between the two countries. Makaneta says the cooperation between the two countries will go a long way to assist learners:
