# Education activist Hendrick Makaneta calls for calm and a return to peaceful dialogue following violent protests at the Walter Sisulu University in the Eastern Cape. Makaneta condemned yesterday’s demonstrations over the bail of the acting residence manager Manelisi Mampana, accused in a student’s fatal shooting, as unlawful and dangerous.
