# The DA in the Western Cape says the operationalisation of CapeNature’s Vrolijkheid Nursery Project near Robertson marks a vital step forward in protecting biodiversity through community-based action. The province is home to two of the world’s major biodiversity hotspots, and faces mounting pressure from plant poaching, illegal harvesting, and habitat loss. The DA’s Dave Bryant says the nursery will serve as both a sanctuary for rescued plants and a training ground for future conservationists:
