DA seeks urgent investigation into alleged National Security Council report leak

# The DA is calling for an urgent investigation into the leak of a classified National Security Council report, claiming it contains false and damaging allegations about its visit to the US earlier this year. The party has written to president Cyril Ramaphosa warning that surveillance of members of Parliament and leaking classified information are criminal offences. The DA’s Emma Louise Powell says state security services are being weaponised for political gain. According to the report Powell spread misinformation when she and fired deputy Trade and Industry minister, Andrew Whitfield, visited the US.
