DA lauds Western Cape recycling increases by 47-percent since 2019 [SOUND]

# The DA has welcomed a 47-percent rise in recycling in the Western Cape since 2019. Waste recovery grew from over 500-thousand tonnes in 2019 to over 800-thousand tonnes in 2023. Municipal composting also surged by 61-percent supporting food gardens and community projects. The DA’s Dave Bryant says this progress reduces landfill waste and boosts the green economy. He calls for continued investment in recycling infrastructure:
