# The DA in KwaZulu-Natal is calling for the removal of provincial Education Department head, Nkosinathi Ngcobo. This follows the intervention by the provincial Treasury in the financial affairs of the department, in terms of the Public Finance Management Act. Finance MEC Francois Rogers has also halted the awarding of new scholar transport tenders, over allegations of bribery and misconduct involving officials and service providers. The DA’s Sakhile Mngadi says Ngcobo has failed to fulfil his duties:
