# The DA has expressed concern about Aviation Co-ordination Services’ allegations regarding obstruction by the Airports Company South Africa. ACS claims the grenade incident at OR Tambo International Airport in May could have been prevented if ACSA hadn’t blocked efforts to replace outdated baggage screening equipment. A deactivated training grenade were mistakenly cleared during screening. The DA says Transport minister Barbara Creecy must take steps against any unlawful conduct by ACSA executives and appear before Parliament to account for governance failures and risks to passenger safety.
