Criminologist concerned over warrantless SAPS search of Fadiel Adams’ former home

# Criminologist Chris Kanyane raises concerns about warrantless searches by the police’s specialised units after a weekend raid at the former home of member of Parliament and founder of the National Coloured Congress, Fadiel Adams, in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town. The political killings task team is under scrutiny following allegations that officials entered without a warrant and wore balaclavas. Kanyane says Adams claims officials failed to identify themselves. He says such conduct may erode public trust, though urgent circumstances can sometimes justify such police action.
