# Cricket: India’s Women have refused to accept the Asia Cup from Asian Cricket Council president and Pakistani Cricket Board chairperson Mohsin Naqvi. This followed after India beat Sri Lanka by 72 runs in the final in Dubai to win the tournament for a record eighth time. India’s players celebrated their victory but did not attend the trophy presentation. Naqvi is also Pakistan’s Interior minister. The decision mirrors a similar refusal by India’s men’s team at last year’s tournament amid tensions between the two neighbouring countries.
