# Cricket: Batters can now by penalised by five runs if they are found to waste time. According to the International Cricket Council’s new playing conditions, a batter will receive a warning for taking too long to get ready for the next delivery, a final warning for a repeat offense and a five-run penalty for the third during an 80-over block. The runs will be added to the opponents’ score. The new rules also include three distinct ball size and weight specifications for men’s, women’s and junior cricket.
